I have Ott lights all over my sewing room. I can't work with out them. If you live near a Costco they have them for really cheap.

I have two and love them both. One is a floor pedestal type that I bought at a second hand store for $3.00!! The other one is a desk light. Am thinking about getting a third one when JoAnns has them for half price again.

The quilt you have on display is gorgeous. I am glad you asked the question as I have trouble seeing close up.

I have two stand lamps and 5 smaller sizes in the ottlites. I use a small fold up one to take with me sewing and beading. They are great for what they are made for. True there are other brands out there but I find my ottlites made really well and can be purchased oftentimes on sale for 40 percent off.

I have two and can't imagine how I survived without them!! I have one that converts-I can use it on a table/desk with the heavy base, or take it out of the base an mount it on my quilt frame. I also have a bracket that I can put it in that attaches to a table or desk, which doesn't take the space up with the base. The other one is the table lamp with the caddy-got both from Joann's 50% off. I now want one on a floor stand that I can use behind the couch. So, yes, WELL worth the money. I heard some people say the bulbs don't last, but I have had my first Ott light (the convertable one) for about 5 or 6 years, with very heavy daily usage, and only replaced the bulb twice. I have had the smaller desk lamp a little over a year and still with the same bulb. So the extra bulbs I got 50% off, are still sitting in my sewing chest.
