I've had good success with using spit, and a little salt. Hydrogen peroxide works too~

I just had foot surgery and why they give you a white stocking to put over your surgery area is beyond me but yes the area seeped a little. When I put it into the machine with other whites I sprayed it with Spray & Wash. It all came out and it had dried for a couple days before I washed it. Have also used peroxide to get rid of a stain too. Just enough till I see it working then I rinse it out so it doesn't take the color out too. Keep using it till the entire stain is gone, then launder as usual.

Cold water will take out blood. Even dried on blood. Just soak it in the cold water. You might have to rub it a bit, but it's always worked for me. NO HOT WATER. (Thanks, Grandma )

I use an ice cube and rub over the stains blotting with clean paper towel as I go.

This happened to me when a wall hanging. I have no idea where the blood came from. I had my finished top fused to the batting. I gently pulled it back and put a terry cloth under it and dabbed on peroxide with another terry cloth. The stain came out with very little effort. Then I repeated the process with water to remove the peroxide from the fabric.
Hope you were able to get your stain out.

I've always had very good luck with Biz.
I just remembered something from before there was Biz. I used bar soap to rub onto the stain and rubbed the spots together with water until they were gone

I concur, usually it was more than a dab of blood!

Haven't tried peroxide... but I do alterations at a bridal shop and for blood on the dresses we have a product that is mostly ammonia. It removes blood.

As a retired nurse with 40 yrs of experience, hydrogen peroxide will remove blood from fabric. Just don't store it in anything but the original brown bottle-it will break down into hydrogen and oxygen if exposed to light, and you will be left with a clear container of water!
