The star would be more pronounced with a very light alternate block between the stars.

Thanks for the link to your pdf for the card trick tute - always wanted to try one.

Oh boy, that is just beautiful! I love what the "helpers" did with photoshop. you might have already gotten this suggestion, but here I go with my two cents worth. Does this block lend itself to sashing? I could picture a darker royal or navy blue, perhaps a tone on tone to give it some depth. Whatever you do, it will be beautiful. If you don't like it, you can always give it to me LOL...

That is one gorgeous block. Please don't stop! I have 2 square mirrors that I use to help me visualize multipleblocks.

If you really don't like it when it is done, you can always donate it, or just send it to me!!!

I agree with everyone--it is beautiful and would be a shame if you did not continue now that we all had a glimpse! I prefer the two suggestions without the sashings. But, whatever you choose will be a stunner!

if it looks too bold when you have finished the 12 + blocks, you could always use white sashing to break it up a bit. Please finish this it is beautiful

That is a beautiful block. The colors don't seem too bold to me. An older quilt-making lady told me to make qults in bolder colors as they stay true longer. This was 40 years ago, and fabrics have changed, but I still hold to that rule.

Finish the quilt. I like that block and I think a quilt like that would be beautiful.
