LaCora has it right. That is absolutley beautiful. Bright colors and the pattern of the stars are definite and I love the way the solid pieces make the circle in the stars. If it were mine that's the way I would set it up. And it's not too bright. I like some life in my quilts.

    Sassy granny

IMHO, I think a border would be nice between each block so you can showcase your blocks better. Your block is gorgeous!

I love the block. I made a queen sized quilt out of the same book but a different star. I think it was the Oklahoma star. Someone asked if it was hard. Not too bad. I made mine and it was the first paper piecing I had ever done.

The colors are absolutely stunning together! Very beautiful!! It is hard for me also to use bright colors, I am partial to pastel or tone on tone. I am tip toe-ing into color also.

Ok, ladies. I'm taking your advice and continuing on!! I'm in the process of cutting fabric for 4 more blocks. I'll make those 4 and them make 4 more, etc.

It might take a bit, but I'll share it when I get it finished.

    Thanks again everyone!!

Love the pattern and the fabrics! If you want to tone it down a little alternate duplicates of this block with another that is quieter but in the same color family.

Nice block - your work is great, but if you feel you need to see ASAP. Make some color copys of your pics, then you can put together next to your block. Colors might not be as sharp but you will still get the idea. Again very nice block.
