Oops, I must have been copying and pasting at the same time as MTS. :oops:
I like how the straight set creates two sizes of circles. You don't see the stars very strongly in this combination of fabrics, but the large rings and smaller rings really stand out.
This is a really gorgeous block. I'm working on a Carol Doak design, too, but the one I'm doing is super simple. :)

I followed the link and found out I have something that does the exact same thing - it's called a dragon's fly eye. I never thought about using it to multiply a quilt block.

Try the block on point and follow my tute for card trick blocks - second half of the tute gives easy on-point instructions.

My bedroom is blue so you should send the finished quilt to me :!: Seriously I love the block and would finish the quilt. Remember that you can make wide sashing, bring in blocks in different colors, make a bed runner to start if it is too much just keep it as a bed runner or make them into pillow shams for your bed. If all else fails send me the quilt :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
