I make a saddlebag type for a walker. Pockets on both sides. Velcro in the neck to keep from sipping off. I also make a rectangle one that is about 12" x 15" and that one I use ties made out of twill tape.

Good thinking to do both, so he has a choice depending on what his need is at the time.

I started with a pattern in a book from House of White Birches, +5 +10 Fat Quarters, and then went totally off on my own. I would be happy to share what I did and what I would do differently when I make some more. Let me know and I'll try to put together a simple tute.
I would love to know how to make them. We have family members in nursing homes and I'm thinking this would make them happy. Thanks for offering to share.

That's really great. A friend has asked me to make one for her mother out of batiks, so I will be starting that soon. I like getting ideas from other people to make me feel more confidant that I can really do it. Thanks.
