Such good company we share! I, too, have many UFOs and PIGS (which I don't count unless I have started LOL) but my first order of business is beginning and finishing a baby quilt for our newest grandson due Feb. 2nd. Didn't get a start on it yet due to medical issues, travel and Christmas gifts to finish. Once that is done, it is clean up and reorganize the sewing room. Normally I am pretty organized but things have piled up over the last year, and now things from the guest room have piled in there from having company the last week for Christmas. Onward and upward in the New Year.

Happy new year
My guild did this last year and we are doing it again this year! I had good results, finished all but one! Learning from the experience, don't put done projects that you are dreaming of, just put down things your REALLY haven't finished! Started, not hoping! lol Our guild pulls out a number and we try to finish that item on our list in two months. Prizes for those that finish!

I am saying No to all those email quilt posts, free block of the "week, month.... I am overwhelmed each morning just checking my emails. I keep downloading free blocks and patterns. Most -- all of them -- I did not even start last year. I have started unsubscribing. Amazing how many Merry Christmas, Happy New Year messages I have received to "really just support and buy more." I don't even want to think about organizing pics, tutorials, patterns, etc. that I have stored besides the bookmarks, favorites, facebook, instagram.

I am starting a quilt for my BIL on the first. After that what ever calls the loudest. I will not listen to people telling I shouldn’t start something new. I have 8 UFO’s and only one of them is over 2 years old. I have 2 quilts I want to get done, the one for my BIL and Halo for my newly painted bedroom. I think I better add my oldest granddaughter’s graduation quilt

Good for you! I've been there, making for everyone else & putting mine aside, yet wanting so badly to work on something for us. Now, my quilted gifts could be given any time, "just because", and made between doing quilts I want to make for us. I think sometimes they feel even more blessed with my quilts when I give them that way. :-)

That is exactly what I have realized. I decided to pull out my special fabrics and make something out of them.

I would like to finish some of the pretty UFOs I have, and would love to use up a bunch of stash... or sell it. Some of my fabrics have been with me for years and I don't love them like I once did. I resolve to sew only with stuff I love, patterns I love, etc. And if I want to start a new quilt before finishing UFOs, I will. This is my fun and I want to keep it that way.

Also I'd like to use up more of my precuts.

I also will not feel guilty about buying more batiks. I love them, and when I have the $$ I will get some.
I love your attitude. I have one project to finish by April for a birthday gift. That is my only 'have to'. I plan to sort out the sewing rooms.

I want to create a travel wardrobe of mix and match clothes for an upcoming trip. I bought fabrics for a Halloween quilt and may try to have it made for next October.

My goal is to spend at least an hour a day in my sewing room -- cleaning and organizing at first, then sewing. Unfortunately, life happens but if I skip a day I will try to make up the next.
