It took me almost 2 months to clean, downsize, muck out, shovel my sewing room. I spent only couple hours a day as the project just seemed so over whelming. I watched a show on Hoarders which promped me to do this. Now I have lots of floor space, no longer keeper-of-junk and I feel more into the creative spirit of wanting to make things. Sorry no photos.

Seeing the pictures of the large spacious sewing rooms makes me drool. My space is compact, and I have to keep it decluttered as clutter displayed gets me antsy. A couple pics of the shelves in my closet where my stash sleeps. Recently I both some fabric organizer plastics from the classifies on line, and filled up the shelves. My sewing/office/storage room is in an attic eave, I have grown to love the cozy area, little steps from cutting/ironing table to machine to computer to closet, to design wall. I am not going to lose weight walking so little, but it is heaven for me. I am lucky to have my "own" lady cave.

Here are the pics, I didn't pick up a thing

I like to be able to find things and since it is my family room, though it is at the back of the house, This is where the computers are and frequently we have friends and definitely family back here all the time!

I guess you can tell I did not get any sewing done today. I HATE to carry a purse and so dumped wallet and contents out to grab license and credit card and cash and when got back just dumped them on my sewing desk.
I have a package to mail to another QB member waiting for me to buy some printer ink so I can print the postage
Fabrics are out auditioning.
Machine wall and Hazel the dog chair, I actually got the Viking out yesterday.

Um... no. Not right now. We are in the process of packing to move. Too many boxes to get to stuff right now! (Although when we're moved, you bet! The new house will have a craft studio (a detached two car garage that former owner used for car repair and kept spotless!) There will be happy dance. But for right now... it's seriously a mess!

My room is an absolute mess -- but I would show it 'cause you all would understand!

Nhweaver, love your rack that holds your pincushions/scissors/rotary cutters. :-D

Everyone is so brave in posting their photos. I am loving it. However, I think it's best for me not to display mine at this time. One thing I will say and that is... I know where "everything" is EVEN if it isn't neat as a pin... oh, funny pun here

I do have more space but I am in the same postition as you lack of wall space. I also have an awesome studio right under the rafters.

My sis stored her fabric in their easily accessible attic. Her DH worried that he would have to shore up the 2nd floor timbers to hold up the attic floor LOL. When I told him in my new house the sewing room was in the basement on a solid lime rock base, he breathed a sigh of relief for my DH. Thought you'd enjoy this bit of insight from a non quilter!
