I dabble in sewing, quilting, machine and some hand embroidery but also jewelry and candle making. I read and sometimes write. Just a looking for myself I guess.

St n RPR--BWAHAHAHA!! yeah, I am starting to feel a little over-freaking-whelmed here! much of what very little time I have is spent staring into space, errr, planning things, usually 5 minutes before I collapse. working 40 hours a week at transcription and another 15 or so watching the two babies and keeping up with my animals usually leaves me pretty well worn. whatever the rest of you are taking, please make the name available!

I love to crochet. Been crocheting since I was 10. Here is a picture of a baby sweater made last year for a co-worker who at 52 had his first baby. Me, I'm 51 and my "baby" is off to college this fall. Guess I'll be retiring alot sooner than my co-worker will.

This is a very diverse group. I have to make time for my hobbies too. I work 40 hours a week, I go to a math class with my two older sons (24 & 23)to brush up on our math on Mondays for 3 hours. I try to spend at least an hour reading my bible every day and sew or do something constructive for an hour after that, twice a month I meet with four other ladies from 1-5 to sew on joint or individual projects and the other free weekends I spend with our oldest grandson who is three and do work with our Pastor (am the secretary for the church). Yep a full life and am never in bed before 11:30 and woke by 4 each day. Don't get up to 5 though. It can be tiring but been doing it a while. Plus my sweet hubby does the washing, cooking and helps with cleaning when he can. He has heart problems so he has been declared disable and he never complains about all my dabbling.

Knitting, weight lifting and running, and my newest obsession is collecting and restoring antique and vintage sewing machines.

In the summer I veggie garden.

I read all the posts before mine and I have to say we are as different as can be. Since no one mentioned my favorite hobby I will tell you that I love to kayak. My DH and I started about 6 years ago and we fish and explore together. It is fabulous, even off Miami you can feel like the only people in the world it is so quiet. I also have a large garden in my yard but in the summer it is really too hot to grow much of anything!

I have done just about every craft out there. Did ceramics for 20 years. Had molds, my own kiln........refinished furniture, have a great collection of beads, lots from NM.Did floral arrangements, Learned how to root roses. Tried to landscape 3 acres when we moved to the country, LOL, that's when I found quilting and $20,000 later that's what I do. Love to buy patterns. I have been on a fabric diet, blew the Hell out of that at the Dallas Quilt Show. There's just something about fabric.................oh, yeah, I also machine and hand embroidery. katie
