I've already said I'll join, but I'm simply going to continue through the entire week. I only have to teach 2 1-hour workshops, so I'll have lots of time to sew. Today, after a dentist visit, I started a tote with more fabric I found in my mom's old stash. I still need to quilt & bind the sandwiches top, plus a table runner left from early February.

The only sewing I got to this weekend was to take my grandbaby's two pairs of bloomers and put elastic extensions in the waists and legs. They make those little things so tight! It was great to see my family this weekend and especially my grandbaby! She was teething, poor dear, so a bit fussier than normal. Still so sweet tho. She's exactly 3 months old today!
I would love to be able to sew with you all for the 4th of July holiday. We have no plans, having had our family get-together this past weekend, so sewing will be in order.

My VQW report: I got the bindings on only 5 of the 10 quilts that needed just their bindings to be ready to go to their forever homes. (I really didn't think I could do even that much hand-sewing so I'm not disappointed.)
See y'all next time!

Perfect! I'm in! I started the bindings on 10 baby quilts on this VQW, but only finished 5. It takes awhile to do all that hand-stitching! So, I'll stick a few more audiobooks into the player, sharpen that sewing needle and join the party! Thanks for the invite!

I finished my quilt in time to submit a photo for the show entry. I should’ve learned from before that putting the binding on with my sit-down machine looks awful, but I was in a hurry. So the binding is crooked, the show entry photo looks terrible, and now I’m going to re-do the binding. Then I’ll post a photo. Hopefully the quilt will still get into the show as it’s a local show....

Well, I was mostly a sloth for the past weekend. I have chronic insomnia and it is acting up right now
I did get the Simplish jungle cat top completed. I made the decision to use up as much as the leopard/cheetah print as I could and succeeded in that! I think I would have been happier if I had used less but then I'd still have more to use... anyway, should be able to take a picture after my group today.
This morning I'm working on the preemie quilt, the rows are done but the proportions look off to me... I think the way I have it is currently too long but maybe with the 6" or so of seams in there it will look better to me. Nice thing is I can just leave off any rows I think are too long.
