So glad to be able to participate this weekend, especially since it is National Quilting Day today. I am working on a burst block quilt for one of my son's. He is graduating from High School this spring, so I'm trying to get it finished before that. I also have a baby quilt I need to sandwich, but I have to get some backing fabric first.

I finished a large lap quilt for the local high school's musical. They are doing The Wedding Singer. I made a black, grey and red disappearing nine patch. I will post a picture tomorrow. No more quilting the rest of the weekend. Show tonight and tomorrow and then costume take in by then I am totally done in.

Such wonderful work being accomplished this weekend.
I've been working on a children's growth chart on my new machine. Likely not the best choice for my first project.
I've learned a bunch and made (more than a few ) mistakes. I'm in the process of turning it so I can pin it onto the leaders sideways and do the background...At least, I think that will work. We'll find out.

Everyone has been busy! I had a great class today - learned ways to use grids and rulers for background quilting. I managed to get a couple of small projects finished too, hope to get lots more done tomorrow.
