Yes be sure you use the correct bobbins. I don't know about your machine but mine (12K) takes the Class 15 bobbin that Janome sells. It is a little different in size than the Singer ones. Your dealer will have them. As for your old bobbn thread just load it like it is a spool of thread and wind the new bobbins. Sometimes I don't have nice even bobbins so I rewind them that way. Have fun.

Congratulations and enjoy! Wind the thread off your old bobbins onto the new ones. Happy Mother's Day!

My friend bought the same machine a few months ago. She loves it! I have the Janome Special Edition 11000 and a Janome AQS that I take to class. You will find that Janome builds a work horse sewing machine. Enjoy!

She is beautiful, you have to giver her a name.....I am a Janomer Gal....6600 (2) one for home, one for cabin. I will never sell them....I just purchased the 11000SE and I am still learning. What a wonderful machine this is. I started purchasing Janome machines when they first came out I still have the old models and they are running just fine. I also purchased a 3160 for class...had to have that auto thread cutter for piecing. These machines are the best value on the market. I don't have any affiliation, but brubakerssewing.com is a great place to shop for Janome accessories. If you tell them that you belong to the Janome 6500yahoo group (it is for 6600 owners too), they will give you 15% off of all accessories. Shipping is minimal. If shopping on their web site, put yahoo15 in box at check out. They are terrific, have the best customer service. Feel free to contact me PM, glad to share info on our Janomes. You will enjoy that walking foot and the .25 foot for quilting that came with the 2011. I know you will go miles and miles with her ...beautiful machine!

All my machines are Janomes - they are great! To use up your old bobbins, place the bobbin on the spool pin and use it like a reel of thread! Alternatively, place on spool pin and wind on to a Janome bobbin. Incidently, only use Janome bobbins for your machine to give it's best performance.

Thanks everyone! I plan to get some Janome bobbins, want to do it right.

As for a name, not sure yet. Was thinking Rose since she is pink.

I need to find what size bobbins to get. I have some for my Singer and they fit but are shorter than the one that it had with it. I have used for a few test stitches and the tension is fine. Any suggestions on bobbin size? The manual doesn't say, or at least I haven't found it.
pm me your mailing address and i will send you a couple dozen bobbins - some empty and some with little threads left on them. NEVER try to use any other bobbin but janome.
