For all of you who have coupons that work both in store and online, you can use your coupons on sale items....it just reverts to the regular price and takes the discount off of the original price,.....assuming that the item is not on the exclusion list.
Sometimes, even the exclusion list works. This week a friend of mine wanted the GO cutter....I tried my coupon on the package deal with all the templates and the GO for $581. It took it down to $290.....the Go by itself was on sale for $299...and she got all the great templates and mats.....Some of the templates were available with the 50% coupon too.

Oh Yeah...Been there too. I had a 70% off coupon and I drove 60 plus miles one way BECAUSE the sales clerk told me on the phone that rotary blades weren't included in the sale. So off I drive ( I should have known better) to get a good deal for once. Well, That wasn't the truth. I was very upset and I wasn't the only person either. I finally found an iron board cover that I could have lived without, but I got it 70%off . I think the coupons are a "false" come-on and really a "lie" to us.

What is wrong with all of us? The 'sale' prices are just the old prices from last year! We really should boycott them! This is not right! When we go to our quilt shops we expect higher prices but at least they are not trying to fool us. I'm done with Joanns and will give my coupons to anyone who wants them. I probably won't be sent many more. If you don't go, they soon stop.

I think they put almost everything on sale when they have good coupons so you have a hard time getting something good, even if it is 10 or 20 percent you can't use it. I feel it is a way of getting us into the store. Just my opinion but I find this happens a lot.

I know when I was there this morning one of the things I told the cashier was that I was on a quilt board that had discussed this coupon thing before and people were not happy. It wasn't good for business.
I said the only people bad publicity is good for is a celebrity . Its never good for a business.
I read one time that if someone has a good experience they a certain # of people but if they have a bad experience they tell 4 times that many

JoAnn's has no competition in the Orlando area since the Hancocks all closed. Only one Walmart left with fabric and that will be gone in February. Only thing left here is lqs, the internet and a Hobby Lobby opening next month across the street and two blocks from JoAnn's.
Don't know the quality of their fabric but sure will check them out.
Wouldn't go to JA except our ASG group meets there twice a month. The gal in charge of classes etc. is very cooperative and give us loads of donations for our twice a year luncheons for door prizes. Nice ones too. Even so, I walk out of there month after month without buying anything but an occasional needed thread.
We have a quilting and sewing expo in the area every year and load a bus full to spend the day shopping and taking classes. I plan on buying most of my needs at the show. Floriani always has super buys on their supplies and you can buy more quantity and wider sizes than those dinky ones in the stores. Same is true for thread. I got a whole case of blendables for half what it would have cost by the spool.
These dealers are there to sell cause they don't want to have to pack it up and ship it back home.
Also when we take a bus load, we get a special entrance rate and a free class of our choice. If you have an expo in your area, don't miss it. It's a good deal.
