What do you embroider?
#61
I started this thread and ran into a glitch tonight. I downloaded 30 designs off the Internet, unzipped them with WinZip so they all have the PES file extension, copied them to my thumb drive and inserted it into my PE 770. The machine only recognizes 1/2 of the designs. They are all for a 5 x 7 hoop, so size isn't the problem. Any ideas anyone? Also, it was a package of 30 designs from embroidery.com

It is probably because you have too many designs on your USB for your machine to read. Mine does that too.
Try removing some or use another thumb drive and put what you need at the time on it, that's what I do and it is just fine.

I'm a bit late seeing this thread but has anyone explained that every embroidery machine has a set stitch limit for any one design. In other words a detailed design area might fit in your 5 x 7 hoop but if it exceeds the number of stitches that your EM can do, then it won't read the design. EmbLibrary.com has a Help section which explains this so much better than I can. They also have a list of many different machines and their stitching limitations.
Have fun!

To answer the question....what do I embroider?? Nothing...I don't have a machine...and I want one so badly!! Santa forgot me, I guess. Instead he left me a TV for my sewing room. I know, I know, I should be happy...and I guess I am...just still wishing. :0(
