What type of flooring for new studio

The former owner had a home office which is now my sewing room. He is a Minnesota Vikings fan so everything is purple. Including the carpet - dark purple! It is such a superior quality I just cant justify changing! Its a pain though.i have a good Shark cordless vacuum which does a good job - every time I use the room!
