We just had luxury vinyl plank put down in some of our rooms - probably some of the most beautiful floor I've ever seen (course it is the one we picked) It looks like wood floor - has a great warranty - guaranteed easy to clean, guaranteed not to chip, crack, warp, splinter, etc., is water resistant, has anti bacterial properties as well is 'floor scored' for good indoor air quality (Can you tell I love it?) I would have our ceramic tile replaced with it if I could convince DH

Laminate does not like water, however. I have 2 small dogs that will pee on it if the weather is bad outside. They have a doggie door but....... If I don't catch it immediately it can warp the edges of the laminate. It's not terribly noticeable except I know it's there. That's a great size for your room. You will love it.
We had laminate in the living room for a while. It had its faults, but ours didn't mind water at all.

I'll take anything over carpet------even old fashioned linoleum.

The cork I looked at was not any more expensive than the bamboo or wood.

Thumbs up

Look at bamboo laminate, it is not paper thin, will hold up very well and is washable. Home Depot has a nice selection of colors. We are replacing our ceramic in the kitchen and laundry room with bamboo. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Many people have laminate but I have cork tiles. I think it feels warmer and it is a natural product. It does have a clear coating on top so all you need to do very occasionally is damp mop it Cleaning is easy w/ a vacuum. There are lots of colors/patterns available.
