I charge 12.5 cents per a square inch... that is sewing binding on by machine and then sewing it down by hand...

They supply material for the binding and the color thread to bsew it down...
Crib size 43 X 45 $22.50.... Twin 39 X 75 $28.75 ...Full size 54X75
$32.25.... Queen 60X80 $35.00, King 76X 80 $39.00 and California King $39.00...

That's what I have charged..

I think you mean 15 cents per running INCH. At 15 cents per running foot, you would only get $2.50 for binding a 50" x 50" baby quilt. (50" x 50" yields 200 running INCHES, which is 16 2/3 running FEET).

I am a LA quilter and do bindings for customers. I charge $.20 per running inch for making, sewing binding on by machine, and hand stitch down. I have all I want to do at this price.

I charge $1.50 per running foot to attach to the front by machine. If I do it all inclucing cutting the binding it is $3.50 prf.

I bind my own quilts and it takes me about 2 hours to do a queen size quilt.

I think perhaps charging by the hour is a better plan. I used to sew the backs of my bindings by hand, have gone to machine stitiching them for speed!
