I finished up the center part of my Christmas Quilt. Now need to figure out the boarders and then FMQ it. Hopefully be done for next Christmas. Have a 2FAQ that needs finishing on the FMQ. Lost count of how many tops need FMQ done but am hoping it is around 10. These are Table Runner up to Lap size quilts, no bed size quilts started. My mom is coming down in a week so will be working on projects with her and need to get my brothers Christmas Gift done so she can bring it home with her. Then lurking on the horizon is the need to pack everything up since we have to move by end of April. Going to be a fun year

I have a couple Bow Tuck purses to complete and a jelly roll strip quilt I'm in the middle of sewing together. Plus I have 2 quilts ready to be quilted. And that's not counting all the projects I have in mind!

I'm dealing with scraps...my drawers were overflowing, it's been so long since I've organized them. And tomorrow, going back to a Log Cabin for my sister. I'm doing it in sections...7 of them...and now it's time to assemble the sections, do a little more quilting and add the borders!

Thanks for reminding me. I have been putting off my own bow tuck. I'm starting now. Thanks.

Made potato soup... picked the last harvest from the garden (salad, beets, and cabbage- on New Year's eve in NY!) ... tomorrow it is supposed to finally turn into winter, and I will be working on a star sampler quilt for my son. Colors of denim blue, cream, and faded reds to go with his room. Lots of plaids to make it masculine. I have quite a few blocks made but unfortunately they have turned out to be slightly different sizes and I'm not sure just what I'm supposed to do about that :-( Well I had fun making the blocks anyway...

Ummm...potato soup, one of our favorites. Thanks for reminding me...I was wondering what to have for lunch tomorrow!

About your star blocks, slightly different sizes. You could frame them and then trim the frames to make them all the same size. Usually no one can even tell there's a variation.

Today I finished some quilted "chargers" for going under dinner plates, to protect the table when our food is very hot. Just HSTs made from scraps, 5 x 5, with rounded corners, two layers of batting and quilted in a spiral. Then I lengthened a new top sheet. It's aggravating how manufacturers package sheet sets with a fitted bottom sheet ample to fit a deep mattress, but by the time you tuck the top sheet in at the bottom there's not enough to fold over your quilt at the head of the bed. I had bought two sets (at a great sale price) because the color is a little uncommon...thought we might need a second fitted sheet if the first one wears out first. So I cut 16" off the extra top sheet and attached it with a flat fell seam that will never show, and probably will make extra pillow cases out of the rest. Now I can get back to quilting.

I just started a Halloween quilt. I'm either incredibly slow or ahead of the game. And after reading one of the other posts I think I should make a couple of bow tucks of my own.
