When I was 8 years old my mother taught me to sew on an old Singer that she had, don't know the model. Then when I was 19 I bought a Sears Kenmore that I still have and use frequently to this day. I'll never get rid of that machine, I love it dearly. It helped put clothes on my children when we were financially strapped and was there when I made my first quilt. It still does mending and rag quilts and anything ele I ask it to do. It's a Champ!

I learned to sew on my mom's Singer, circa 1946, then got my first second-hand Singer with cams when I went to college in 1970. I used that machine to death until 1993 when I bought my dear Pfaff 1470, which I still use.

Mine was a Kenmore. I still have her and even though I have a Baby Lock, I still use her for quilting. I left her at our church quilting room and I'm still having withdrawal from not having her on my table to use. I don't think I'll ever get rid of her, she's part of my family.

Hi Mine was a Singer too. I was 23, I made dinosaurs with it. they were 27 inches tall. I had that machine till just a few years ago, when my stepson wanted me to sew on a patch. Well I tried with my machine and it broke it. I was so sad..

My first machine was a Brother, I was about 10 don't remember the model
but then my Dad saw I was serious with sewing and got me
a Singer Touch & Sew. Sewed on that till I got married and
my husband bought me a Viking, which I sewed till they couldn't
fix it anymore. Now I have a Bernina #155 which I love.
"Sew", I have been sewing for 48 years, starting quilting in
1980.

I sewed on my Mom's Singer treadle machine when I was 6 yrs old. I had to sew my own clothes with it. It was so fun to race the treadle and was good exersize while sewing. After I got married I purchased a Viking sewing machine that was stolen from my car. I replaced it with Simplisty and that didn't last long as it broke down. I purchased a Babylock and that is the one I sewed on for many years until this year when I hit a pin and it recked the machine. I only have my old Singer 66 industrial sewer that works and I purchased it at The Good Will. I am getting a new Singer when I get the money put together.

I was around 20 yrs. old. It was a Japenese version of the singer and I got it as a promotion when I got my first washing machine. Name of it was Modern Age !!!!
I did sew when I was younger and used my mother's treadle machine.

My first machine was a Singer (don't know the model). It was a gift from my husband-to-be in the early 60's...I was 20 years old.
