What's your favorite machine today?

I love using my Janome 10001. Yeah I know it's about 10 years old but it does everything I need it to do. And it does it well. I doubt i will ever get a newer machine--costs is too great these days.

I have a Bernina, Janome, Brother ps1500, Featherweight, 301 and 15-90. My very favorite machine and the best stitch of them all is my Singer Quantum, the very first quantum Singer made. It was a special buy as Singer only made one run of these models. I was hesitant to buy it but it has been the best machine I have ever used.

My current love is a New Home L372 that I purchased at my aunt's estate sale for $50. It had only been use a few times. It sews a beautiful stitch and gives me the zigzag option that my 301 did not. It also reminds me of my dear departed Viking 6430 from the 70's.

Hi Linda,
Congratulation with your new maschine. I have had my Bernina 830 for a year now and I LOVE it! Earlier I have had Bernina 440QE and 640.
I try to use all features on the maschine incl. the embroidery unit. I will very strongly recommend you to take some classes on how to use the 830. Now I do not know what maschine you used to work on but even for me who had quiet some Bernina experiences the classes have been very usefull.
The american Bernina web site has some tutorial, tips and tricks that are worth looking at. At their website you will also be able to find some achived web seminars that might be helpfull to you.
I am using my Bernina 830 for sewing, quilting, embroidering, applique (in the embroidery module), cutwork and punching.
So to your question - my Bernina 830 is definately my favorite. I also have a couple of FW that I like to use.
I am just a bit curious why your friend has sold the maschine.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
Kind regards
Anne

I have an older but reliable Pfaff that was gifted to me many moons ago but Iam in love with the Janome I purchased almost one year ago. I questioned the QB members before I purchased it and received many positive comments... and they were right!
