OK Birthday Swappers, the messages have been sent with the first swappers birthday information. If there are errors, please PM me and I will send out corrections to everyone via PM. I would not want to make corrections to sensitive information on this thread. We have far too many folks who troll the Quilting Board for information and who post inappropriate "junk". Let's keep each other safe.

I make an Excel spreadsheet with all of the swappers names on it. When I receive some birthday candy, I update the list in Excel, make a copy, take a picture of it, and share the picture on the swap so that the sender will know that her gift arrived.

I have attached a photo of this year's list from my computer screen. My printer is broken so I can't provide a better picture.

Default Using Light-Weight Interfacing for Accurate Blocks

We all know how tedious it can be to sew a lot of little fabric squares together into a quilt block… And, it’s annoyingly easy for the seams to not line up properly. Here are two methods that help the process by using light-weight interfacing.

A photo tutorial of Elizabeth Hartman’s method for making her 15” x 15” stamp collection blocks:

This is a seven-minute YouTube tutorial by Paula Doyle of Green Mountain Quilt Studio on how to make her Mini Mosaic blocks:

Jenn, thanks for those great videos! I'll have to play with some of those methods.

That interfacing one is genius and very nicely explained. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve been busily saving pictures of scrappy square quilts on Pinterest these days. SO many ideas out there!

Meanwhile, I’m slowly putting together the backing for my New Year’s Day Mystery. This was a rare, “no dog show” weekend so I’m getting a lot done!
