Gemm, love the Showering Stars quilt. It's beautiful.

Hope everyone is well this weekend and looking forward to an opportunity to quilt or perhaps get some fresh air. Looks like a beautiful day here. Have a wonderful day.

Good pattern choice GEMM. My eyes are always drawn to anything bright on black or a dark color. Yes, I agree that most of us could re-create SHOWERING STARS without a pattern. But then..... it is nice to support a designer by purchasing their pattern too. It is available from Missouri Star and several other places all about $12.

It is similar but yet still different from one I started last year, October as I recall, using the birthday candies from my 2022 birthday year only.. My start is called Star Trails by Andy Knowlton. I was about half done when holiday quilting kicked in. Guess it is time to pull out the project box and get at it because it is rapidly becoming a UFO. Wouldn't it be nice to finish it before the next mailbox full of little squares arrives again?

Ahwu -- sounds like you have set a new bar for us to learn from! Thank you in advance. I have a long time to go before I get to see your candies to us.

Gemm and WMU thank you for the quilt idea and where to find a pattern. One more for the bucket list.

Janice and SBG -- I wish you health for those you are tending to and lots to keep yourselves healthy, too. The Boom block gallery is gorgeous already. Thank you for that, Janice. Good thing you and SBG split up tasks in that huge project. The busiest people get everything done once again. Hang in there! You are both very appreciated.

I’m enjoying opening my candies today, and the little extras included! So many fun squares! Will take a nap and then open some more!

Happy Birthday, my near city neighbor. I trust you have enjoyed your special day with our April snow. A good day to snuggle down and open candies and sample a piece of cake.
