DustysMomma, I would love the appliqued loons on my spring runner - I am a bird type person and their woeful call (the loons) is a real magical sound. Well, to me it is! Maybe not to the brat though.
Jaba, your hubby is correct. I started to say that, but figured I was the only one ana....riciduluous enough to think that way. And I don't want to upset my host for the Super Bowl, do I? Which team are we rooting for? I have a fair board meeting at 2 that day and then it's home to the TV and whatever food I have fixed before hand. Hand stitching, football and I are best of friends.

Vanogay, i was looking at the photo I took of them in the bag & I think they would be too big for this runner. The head alone is about the size of a sandwich size ziplock bag. I might be able to work it into a throw size, but I think it would be too much for a runner, lol. I'm not sure I've ever heard a loon in person...

Not sure Vanogay, you toss the coin and we'll decide which team. I really don't care either way but like you I will be watching for sure. Probably be sewing too on something, a new table runner maybe. Ana had to take out the surprise factor so now we'll know who, darn I like the surprise.

I am thinking the black one is too dark for spring its a good deep romantic thing but not all spring long. Who doesnt want a spring one btw? if you dont yell ok as your signing up say hey love it sign me up oh oh yeah I really dont like spring and flowers and happy thoughts and yeah yell. lol its me guys.. if you want serious talk to those .. other guys all around me.

hand quilting? sure take my teeth out with carving knives while your at it. oh and I will paper piece while its happening. oh uh NO. I like stitching squares together by hand but the actual quilting. ugh. come on over to the darker side K the one with electricity and .. machines. that thing you paid good money for. try it it doesnt hurt at all and look at all the time you will have to sew more things for swaps now that your using that machine. You can even name it if you like as you become closer friends.

do you name your machines ladies? mine is called..machine. I dont have a name. it hates me I know it does.
    Hi Linda,
I am sooo trying to come to the er, "dark side"...lol...Its not that I am opposed to machine quilting...its that I am not one iota of a bit good at it, especially fmq!!! It is opposed to me!! I have a gazillion books, have joined some Craftsy classes, taken classes at my local quilt group....and I just can't seem to stop the thread breakage, birds nesting, needle breaking from happening...the only fmq I have done that was ok was on some 12" square blocks that I made that I change out monthly on a wall hanging I made...I know I need to practice more, and I also bought a dry erase board to just practice the movements by hand, it is over in the corner, still in the plastic....kinda under my Grace machine frame dh put together for me months ago and all the quilts I have sandwiched waiting to be quilted...fmq'd....ARGH!!! Save me from myself!!!
So, I am hoping that actually having a quality machine will help me...though I have seen some amazing fmq done by people who have machines that are just like what I have owned in the past...so I know in my heart it is not the machine...it is me, say it again Kif, It is ME!!

Okay, I'm in for the next one even though I have not received mine yet. Anastia is working on the problem. I have the worst luck with these swaps, but the first time on this site.

When the swaps work the way they are supposed to they are great. Its sad when a person can take something yet not return their part of the deal. if you cant do it within the time frame be real with yourself. wait. there will be a time when you might be able to join in. Dont do it if you arent good to go with rules. timelines. reality. just my humble. and anyone can squeeze four or five hours out if it even takes you that long over the time frame of these swaps. an hour here there it adds up. that tv show can wait it will be there next week. sheesh. I am sorry you still havent received yours yet sure hope it comes with a nice fat apology.

ok vanogay your just trying to steal the good ones from me for your information loons have a wonderful sound and I enjoy them very much. i am a big nature lover minus spides which they can become extinct and we can find some other bug to do their job. I was thinking I am excited personally about having a partner. You trade emails get to know a bit about them like they have three legs, fly space ships, eat turtles and love quilting. stuff like that. or you get people like me who are actually SUPRISE! sane. I know its true but unless your my partner you would never know that stuff.

Tracy well how about a loon head quilt! put the head on one end the rear on the other side and well something abstract in the middle then send it to vanogay! me you could just put a rear on each end of the runner and something goofy in themiddle the man here would get a kick out of a bird rear cloth. After the goodies he brings me I think it might just work .. currently I have a forest tablerunner from jaba on the coffee table he loves. It kinda resembles turkey feathers an there deer, and fish on it and well all others go straight to the other table. this is HIS its got antlers as the center piece and he is in man heaven.

for that I will add one last one be thankful ever thankful that he is mine. He mentioned down at the pond there was a decomposing skunk. oh ok. then it hit me and I said uh your not going to go back for the skull are you? he said well maybe. OMG. I can put it next to the squirrel one he brought me. OMG twice. pray something takes it away first. skunk doubt it. oh crud. so when you get silly gifts remember what you could have gotten. just thank your lucky stars its not a dead critters skull.

Linda - I know a gal around here that processes skunk hides; a fella wanted to make a skunk fur coat for the fur traders and voyagers weekends he attends - she's been trapping for twenty plus years; her second husband taught her how so now she runs miles and miles of trap lines.

I'm a huge fan of the great outdoors and I like to go fishing/camping/hiking etc and I love watching critters in their natural environment.

Traci, don't pay any attention to the Brat - she's been sniffing the starch from her ironing bottle. Reduce that loon for my table runner. Just try the head on Brats, she can put othre skulls (real ones) on the other end and make it look 3-D!!
