So last night I was lying in bed thinking about this swap and contemplating what I might what to make when WHAM! it hits me out of left field. I was so excited that I jumped up and grabbed the laptop and spent some time looking for a pattern to get me started. Sadly, I couldn't find exactly what I wanted, and I'm not really much of a innovator of quilt designs, so I'm trying to decide how I should go about it to make what I wanted to do happen without it looking all sad and misshapen. Sigh.....

depending on what it is.. hehehe I only have EQ5 and I'm not great at it yet, only had it a couple months. and I really suck at curves

Sherrie - I too find money when I change purses - the best was when I brought my winter coat out for the season and found a $10 bill in the pocket.

When I lost my keys to my Jetta awhile back and hunted allllll over my house for months (yes months) I found $100 iin a coat pocket. What's funny is, I remember winning it at the casino when I saw Chippendales and i stuck it in there specifically to pay a bill.. wonder what happened to that bill... anyways, found the keys after my brothers spent the godawful amount of money to get a new key.. they were in a shopping bag. *sigh*

ok dustysmom its simplle just put a corner on each end and I think you will find its not hard at all. disect like each part. one bit at a time. I see a block I think how many squares up/across. ok 3.5 or 4.5 or 2.5 for the most part. then is that a hst or a qst or .. I just break things up. 8 months ago? no way. I have come a long way since last summer. TADA! It seems most blocks are simplier than you think unless its dreaded paper piecing. And you might as well wait like the rest of us because your partner will want circles if you pick squares and you know it. so patience my dear patience! just like me patient.. 5.23 and thats it.. no more pennies hidding anywhere. thats the final offer. And I want..

(she is holding out but silently inside she is thinking take the money take the money. hey a buck is a buck kid. I dont care how much your gas is ours is 3.59 right now.. if you have five your have a gallon and a cup of noodles.. so take the money honey we wont tell. no one will ever know. promise. stop looking for my hands.. my back itches)

Ana, I'll PM you a link to something similar and see what you think. And yes, it is curvy, which I'm not good at either, but I did find a version that wasn't so curvy, but it looked a lil weird to me. Elizabrat, I don't think throwing a corner on it will do what I have in mind any help, but if I can't figure out how to make it do what I want, I may have to do this other version I found, which isn't the end of the world, but isn't what made me jump up in the middle of the night and dig for a pattern, lol.

My best pocket/purse/bag find came about 3 years ago. I'd been working a long term temp job, was told they were hiring me, then 3 days later I was told they were letting me go because they didn't realize their son's company was struggling so much and they were going to move their company in with them and give their daughter in law the job instead. Well since it was a temp job, no unemployment. So here I am getting ready for a job interview a month later and I decide to use this purse I haven't used since before my divorce in 2005. I'm checking to see if I left anything in it, and I find $260 in the inside pocket. I have no idea how long it'd been there. At one time, if I wanted to do anything for "me" or if I knew it was getting toward the time that money was going to be tight and my ex was still spending like it wasn't going to be (he was a contractor and everything slows down in the winter, so I always planned ahead for Christmas), I would have to sneak a little money away here and there to prepare for it. I'm guessing that's how it got in there. I can't believe I forgot it though! I told Dusty and he mentioned it to his dad & his dad said half of it was his and I better have it waiting for him when he brought him home. He was half joking, but he'd have happily taken it if I'd been willing to agree! I told him he could have it when he paid me his back child support. That shut him up!

Well, I have been thinking and thinking what design I was going to do...and I have been drawing out a few designs and have settled on one. If it comes out like my imagination, it should be fun. Whats good, is I can adjust the size depending on what my partners wants/need are. Now for fabric selection.....thinking of invading my stash for lots of what I consider springy colors.....then off to the sewing machine. phew...glad to finally have a plan. Hope I get a partner who likes a little whimsy!.... (=^;^=)

whimsy? must be PINWHEElS! I love PINWHEELS so it must be for me. or maybe its little chicks in a basket! or its cats and frogs dancing! or I have no clue and am never good at guessing games. better fess up what your thinking of doing there Moonstookie.

Dustsmom you win. Only thing hidden *by me mind you.. was my bag of jewelry. We went to Mexico for an extended summer vacation. I didnt want to take my jewelry with me so I hid it. I came home couldnt find it in my normal hiding places about had a serious fit. Three months no finding it kept looking and relooking. I thought the housekeeper maybe or the person who came to feed the animals but didnt want to accuse anyone. Goodthing. one day went to put on those bronze shoes..stuffed in the toe.. yup. Felt seriously rotten for thinking bad thoughts. Ever so grateful I had kept my mouth shut didnt even tell the spouse i had lost them to begin with so it was all within me. I kicked myself enough and kept only two places after that no more moving things around like that. shoot. dumb bunny or what?
