I'm glad your hubby takes an interest in your hobbies. Not many do. My BF takes some interest but I don't try to harass him too much with it because he's not the decorating, picking colors, fabrics, etc. kind of guy. He's made it clear repeatedly. But he does appreciate a quilt, wants me to make him one, and he will tell me something looks awesome or that I did a good job, and I don't expect more out of him. So ask your hubby if he really wants to learn, or if he just wants to interrupt you

Jaba, The Russian nesting dolls tr is so very nice. Nancia, I look forward to pictures of the new sewing table. And to have your DH ask questions seems so wonderful. I too, have a very supportive DH who is a big help to me. He is tall so can hold up the quilt for when I need to take a picture. Hope youe headache is gone by now. I am so glad my age has lessened those.Still playing catchup with the swaps I signed up for on the board so hopefully can get them all caught up by end of March. I really enjoy getting to know you all via the posts. Today will be a snow day for us and that means using the snow blower to clean off the driveways and sidewalks where there are drifts. Hence not as much quilting. :-) Hurry up spring!

hmmmm.... i have a dilemna. if i tell my dh you all think he's great i will have to answer more questions and more interruptions. if i don't tell him he will miss out on compliments he deserves. i wish he had a hobby! i've offered to teach him to sew, but i think he wants to wait til he's really retired-- he still works at least 40 hrs/wk. he thinks he knows more than he does, and we know how dangerous that is! so i told him my dilemna, and he's thinking about what i should do! lol he's very cute! and very nice. really, he doesn't deserve me!

Pat yourself on the back too my dear woman he absolutely does deserve a kind caring compassionate artistic woman in his life. Dont sell yourself short there we love you oodles. even if you wont share your monster margaritas with me ... hey making chicken enchiladas today. also baking a cheesecake and applestruddle per his highnesses wishes. its his 51st birthday guess he wants to roll around in sheer glutteny today. Thankfully he is out fishing for the morning. Where to put those fish when he comes home.. clueless. About 20 right now in the freezer. He is out on a tournament weekend he says four days of fishing he is the only contestant. I say have at it. Then no complaints at all about my wanting to sew 100 hours a week

I am here everyone - if you missed me at all. I had a pity party this weekend, well not really, but was kinda in the dumps - read on the board, but didn't post anywhere. I did, however, do a Quilts of Valor meeting yesterday and helped a new quilter learn to cut on her very second quilt. It's kinda nice doing that for others. Just in a blue funk on the inside, though. Stopped after the long meeting for a quick bite to eat and on the way home remembered DH and I had been invited over to a friends for dinner. Had to call her and apologize all over myself for missing it - she kept insisting it was okay - I was the one upset. Will try to make it up to her. I haven't started on Jaba's patriotic as I still haven't gotten fabric from MTL. I think if it doesn't come this week, I will go ahead without it. I hate being late with anything. Finished (almost) with Mary's TR - in the last process of quilting and then will bind it and let our fearless leader know so it can be mailed when she says "Go". Take care everone and may your needles be sharp!

Enjoying some down time tonight. Looking forward to my upcoming weekend quilting retreat with friends. Will not have Internet so I will be off the board, but will return with a second TR completed then I will choose which one to use. Have a great week everyone.

i am washing some fabric, sharpening my needles and throwing pins at targets as a warm up! i have so many really good ideas but i can't do them all-- there are time and money restrictions!
sorry vanogay that you are feeling down! are you getting enough sun light? it really makes a difference this time of year. helping others is one of the best ways to defeat a funk! nothing better than sharing our addiction and starting a newbie down the path of thread and needles!
thanks, brat! back atcha'! i appreciate the kind words! we went to the symphony and in order to get through it with my back, i take one of my morphine pills, and then have a gin and tonic when i get there. i know, not supposed to mix the drug and drink, but it's so distracting to others when i start to whimper. tonight it threw me for a real loop! i was tripping over my own feet and wrinkles in time. my mind was clear but my balance was way off. thank goodness i was with my dh and a good friend. we looked like the wizard of oz, i was in the middle as the floppy scarecrow and the two guys were the lion and the tin man. arms looped we went down the sidewalk. wish i'd thought to sing the yellow brick road!lololol! we went to a lovely place for brisket and southern style veggies. they were claiming it was texas bbq, but it didn't taste like any i had had in dallas or austin, or san antonio, but texas is a huge state and it could have come from a thousand other places. it definitely was tasty! i can't wait to get there in august (tx, not philly) and see my dgd and go get bbq! for reals!!! i will be staying about a month! can't wait, can't wait, i just can't wait!!

978 Gray, Don't mail until our fearless leader gives you the go-ahead. Read the rules on page 1 - she'd prefer you wait to ensure your partner is going to send one as well.
