Brat, even though I am not in the swap, I can still comment, right. :-) I think this pink, green and white is lovely and tropical looking even if it is not bright colors. On a table ready for a luau, it would be perfect. I would glady take any leftover scraps you don't want when you are finished with it. :-) Whomever gets it will like, it I am sure. Well, I need to get back to making the baby quilt for my nephew and his girlfriend. (That's the way things are now days-sigh). But it is his first child and he is 44 so one very happy daddy! The shower is the 27th even though baby arrived on the 1st. (She was early) and I still need to get it quilted and bound. Will post a pic on another thread when I get it finished.

Girl, I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out!

Yeah, I thought about it, but there's really not a color that jumps out at me from the group as being "the one". I'm afraid of the black being too stark a contrast for a happy season table runner, which is why I didn't start cutting today! Instead I've been working on something else, but I'll post that in the Home Decor thread since it's nothing to do with a runner.

funny I didnt see the vacuum either! and lets see dustysmomma white would be bright and don johnson like very Florida. I love that quilt Nancia. Love the bright blue. I just looked at your colors I think something in that green tone or in the blue tone would work around all of them. each one has a tiny bit of something for the most part so it will all go. solid probably .. yellow is too bold and so is orange for a big color around them I think but the cooler colors would pull it all in together. imho. ha ha last time Iwas humble opinionated was like never.

Sandy thanks for the nice words. same goes it to Jan. I appreciate it. I just was worried my partner might be hoping for something a bit more exciting in colors. worry wort that would be me.

Ooh, orange! There's not nearly as much orange in the fabrics as other colors, so that would make them pop too! Worst case, it looks like an orangecicle! Hmm, you ladies are going to make me shop again. I found enough black solid last night to do this too, lol. I'm not going for the Miami Vice table runner!

Sorry Nancia, I know you had your heart set on these batiks, but they're not fond of 12 foot snow drifts & are going somewhere warmer, lol.

Hey brat, sent that runner to me, forget about Jaba. I'm not a pink person, but I do like what you did with the flowers - not sure what kind they were, reminded me of Magnolia (Louisiana flower). Anyway, send it on, I'm waiting. And Jaba, if I'm your partner, would kinda like the desert. Loved the high desert when we lived in Victorville and then in Mountain Home and Boise. The beauty of a desert is unlike anywhere on earth as far as I'm concerned. Of course, I like the temperate climate of Tennessee better than the searing heat of a desert! Picked out some colors for my tropical runner and now I'm starting the second guessing....hang in there partner, I'll figure something out, hopefully!

beautiful pink, green and white runner Brat;

nancia that quilt is to spectacular - I love all colors but the batiks are my favorite.

I have my partner's name - now I just have to do a little snooping to see if they are a little out on the limb or more traditional.

You all have a fantastic day doing something that makes you smile.

I am going to finish my dq today and work on boom blocks. I will hope my tropical fabric flys home to me by midweek. I found this killer hawaiian floral on black with beautiful parrots on it. I think its so pretty I have to make one with that too and then the margarita glasses are coming in which would be cute with my wave fabrics and some other floral I purchased hawaiian state flower fabric the print is so realistic I love it kinda like the way they did those farm fabrics? this is like photo flowers.. so pretty in yellows and well another runner will be born this week maybe two. they are so addicting!
