well I was going to take a few days off but I couldn't get that orange fabric out of my mind. I didn't want to do another night & day block but after thinking about it, Pinwheels came to mind. So GramE you got a 3D Pinwheel block.

Then there was the leaves and the statement " I want a quilt that will make me feel like I jumped in a pile of leaves" so Travelinggramma you got it. I call it Falling Leaves.

This is what I made for Travelinggramma this morning. It's Ozark Maple Leaf. Hope you like it.

The original pic I posted of the block I made for Jaba has bothered me. It really isn't that dull looking. So I took the same block (after re-pressing since it was already stashed away) and photographed it under our skylight with indirect light only, both on the dark rug and then on a white towel. Same location, only diff was the background. I'm amazed.

The top is on the dark rug and the bottom is on the white towel. Wow. What a difference the background makes. And i'd say the block is actually somewhere between the two extremes but closer to the second. Guess I'll be using that light background from now on.

I like the darker lavender better...what a difference a camera angle can make!! I'm loving Billies blocks with the musical instruments. My grandson saw some of my fish fabric laying out Saturday and said " I really like that grandma"...he has NO idea you all are making blocks out of it for him. I think he will love it!!
