Ahhhhh, sewbiz, enjoy those grands as much as you can!! Trust me, you just never know what's in the future. Going to try and start on the night owl group tomorrow, finished the Early birds today.
Lady is coming tomorrow for my donation quilts for the low income cancer patients. I know that sounds terrible, but there is no way they could afford to buy a blanket if they needed one. These patients only source is medicare and donation. I sew at least 8 for when we leave for Florida and 8 when we get home. She called today to see if I would still be willing to do that....she's down to 1 quilt. Tomorrow she will come and pick up 8 to 10 for the winter months. I think I told all of you the hubby is having surgery on Thursday for his shoulder. This will prove to be interesting for sure. I have been going through yet another side effect from the ----chemo, hope it ends soon. We will be quite a pair for sure. Hope I'm making sense ladies, I am just so tired tonight, better tomorrow. Everyone is making beautiful blocks, I'm looking forward to starting this week, hopefully tomorrow

Janice - thanks again for updating the gallery so quickly. It's amazing to see how the blocks start to fit together!
And so many pretty blocks in the past few days. I love them all, but I have to say the jukebox (hav4boys) is inspired!
So, I am tired and worn out today! Moved my daughter back into her dorm on a warm and muggy day. I finished her 3 foot by 3 foot wall hanging in time! Her room has a bowed out set of windows on one side (called a princess room). She has always wanted a window seat, so when she got this room she asked my husband to make one for her. Now, the windows are about 10 feet long, so they compromised. Her 6 foot futon will fit 2/3 of it and he built a window seat for the remaining space! He built shelves inside it for which I made the quilt hanging. She wanted it to be her dorms logo - they are the wildcats. The futon isn't out of storage yet, but the window seat fits perfectly and I am happy with my quilt! I had some fun with my new rulers, I liked how it came out even though I wasn't hitting my points at all! The picture shows the back of her tee shirt with the logo I had to recreate....applique is another technique I've only done two times before so I was very happy with how it came out.

I didn't get any sewing done this weekend. We have a leak That completely ruined my living room floor. Needless to say the whole floor has to be torn up and replaced. When we bought our home, it had been remodeled. Pressboard was used on the floor (woodchips glued together to make a board) This board swelled and buckled underneath my furniture. I am getting new Carpet. Have to see the good in everything, right.

Thank you so much for my block. I love the piano music in the background!
My last block for today. Went in and spent some very special time with DH then came back and made my last block for today. This one is for KLAWS. I hope you like the piano music in the background. Thanks too for getting back with me so quickly. I was able to get in this 3rd block of the day. I hope you like it.
