Terri, yes, keep posting pics here and I will put them in the new gallery. Don’t shrink pics too teeny tiny or they will be blurry when Imgbb makes them bigger. Just reduce size enough for them to post here. If it won’t upload, reduce it a little.

Janice, thank you for opening up the old galleries. Lots of great blocks there to inspire us.

Hi here is my first block with my own fabric. Im asking for you to use the white as background and the focus fabric if you would like. Make a modern block, whatever that means to you, and if you want to add a folk motif, that would be even better to show off the folk motif in the fabric. The name of the fabric is Far Away Folk. I mailed yesterday and am so excited to get started! Hugs!

Rebaquilts, that background fabric is perfect with your focus fabric! I've never seen Saturn fabric like that before, great block!

Thanks! The Saturn is what everyone is getting with a 6.5" focus. If anyone needs more of either, I have more, I bought out the LQS's Saturn, only a few yards left. The other blue is more of a robin's egg blue than in the photo.

Great blocks so far! This is going to be an exciting boom.
Janice, you can use batik if you like. Just so it isn't too "busy".
My package is all ready to mail. I will be going to the post office this afternoon.

Thanks, Klaws. I’ll look through the batiks when I get your f8 to see if I can find something. I’ll just have to see what works that isn’t busy.

Cute block, Reba. I've never seen the saturn WOW before, either.

I'm so excited about all the fabric packages coming in! Soon we'll all be making blocks.

This morning Microsoft downloaded an unwanted upgrade and now my computer is running slower than it used to grrr!
Worked on two blocks and have determined that the yellow I chose for a background color does not work with my focus fabric. The darker background seems to make the fabric pop a bit more. I have slightly enlarged the blocks in the hopes that they will not appear blurry. Will resize again if needed.

Rebaquilts, that's a super cute block, I like that fabric too!

I like your block too, Cheesehead, I think the darker one really does pop more!
