Anna, it will be fun to figure out what to do for your granddaughter's quilts. What about the third triplet, tho? Does she already have a quilt? Could you post an example of "crisp green", please? I'm thinking bright kelly green like a leprechaun wears... am I right?

I like your block, Cheese... I have trouble photographing reds too. My camera seems to go crazy with them.

I'm trying out one of the free 3 yard quilt patterns from Sew Can She this week. They are pretty fun and make great donation sized quilts. I'm doing the Weathervane. Gotta find stuff to do indoors during this sweltering heatwave.

Haha I knew someone might wonder about the third triplet. Her color is yellow, next swap. There are also an older and younger sister. We already worked on a quilt for one of them in the last swap.

Hmm good question about the green. I figured something kids would like. I just don't think brown green and dark green would be nice for children or where I plan to take this quilt.

Yes, a bright Kelly green would be great. It also goes well with violet and a spot of orange. Bright Kelly green is described as a vivid green that looks like a lush green Irish landscape.

I want to be sure to keep it girlish looking.

Speaking of cameras- my Kaffe fabric looks nothing like my photo. we all know he uses bright colors! You'll know what I mean when you get it.
Terri, those little fresh mozzarella balls and fresh basil go wonderfully with fresh tomatoes and cukes.

I make stuffed tomatoes similar to stuffed peppers using cooked meat. You can freeze tomatoes easily.

Terriamn, We take tomato slices, put a slice of fresh mozzarella and a basil leaf or two on top. DH likes it with a drizzle of EVOO and a good balsamic vinegar. I leave off the EVOO. Maybe a light dash of salt. Absolutely delicious. Yum!

Sorry, no cuke recipes beyond what you’ve mentioned.

I can now start this boom!! I have made myself complete the boom quilts before the next one. This is from last fall and I ran out of sashing material. Finally found it last week so got her done.
I am now printing off patterns and ideas for your wonderful fabric.
