December Secret Pal Swap
#242
Your turtles are so cute -- if I ever see a red eared slider around here it's usually at least 12" in diameter and nasty as can be. They crawl up out of the ditches to try to lay their eggs along the road. Don't know why they don't stay down in the woods, but so many get crunched by oncoming traffic. I wish people would watch out. Think how old those turtles must be. (Oops - really off subject. Sorry.)

Here is a picture of what my secret pal sent. She sent a beautiful bird panel, a Cicely Mary Barker flower fairies piece ( I collect Cicely Mary Barker flower fairies:), a heart ornament, a green and purple magnetic piece of jewelry that is very unusual. It can be made into a necklace or bracelet. I have never seen one like this. My granddaughter who is 13 saw it and loves it. She is wanting it desperately. LOL. I also go some hershey's kissis with cherries. It was all tied with a lovely ribbon fabric, which I have never seen before. Thank you , again Shawnita Zimmer, (DeserLake Quilting) I love it all. Merry Christmas to all.

I had signed up for the SP Swap in Dec, but being my first time, I didn't know what to do next to find out how to find out who I was to send my pkg to.
Well on Wed 12/8 I was opening some pkgs of books I had ordered and came to one (thought it was another book) and found inside something so beautiful that it took my breath away.
In the package were 6 beautiful fat quarters in my favorite colors, three, handmade, very delicate Christmas ornaments, a Handmade Quilter's journal (my first entry was that day) and a marker. I took a picture of them, wrote thank you note and mailed it the next day.
She really outdid herself and I feel very special because of it. Thanks again Wendy. Sue Green
