Terri
Sounds like my experiences...
Love the sneak peek AliciaH...pretty fabrics!
Brat, gotta love our pet "babies" but not their sleeping or rather not sleeping and wanting to play habits...our kitty used to love to bat at and pounce on my and dh feet at about 4 every morning...was too funny...after the fact.
Lynnie, I don't like "heavy" quilting either...and I usually do outline quilting...not really stitch in ditch or 1/4" away, rather 1/8" away or so ( I like the look of it better...odd, but that's me!). I haven't ever quilted over applique, but thought I would see what others think...I have only been doing machine quilting the last couple of years or so, only hand quilting prior, and not much of that.. and I am still doing the "fmq dance"...meaning I dance around trying it! So, we will see what I come up with!
Take care all,
K

Its time to tease my swap partner Grandma Di with a preview of her fabric! I have 75% of the top done but I am only showing the barely cut fabric to keep her guessing.

Akweiland,
love the fabrics!!

tlambing,
I am still patiently waiting to hear about that Halloween runner you made...is it your own pattern or?? The spider block is too cute, then the witch hat, then...well, you get the idea...I loved all the blocks! If you have given the info before and I overlooked it plz forgive me and my "lupey" brain (highly scientific technical term we lupies - people who have Lupus - use to refer to our forgetfulness)...

Yes Kif, it's my own menagerie I should have it finished this wknd and ready to mail. However, the witches hat was for another project. I was just sharing it here. I'm sure Alicia will share a pic when she receives it. Thanks for the kind words.

PS it is your job as the recipient to post a picture of the runner you receive. The sender will post ONLY if you can not and you request it. Otherwise we would never have any surprises when we opened our mail box!

Oh! I can't wait! I need about another hour or so to work on yours. Late hair appointment last night, and something at the salon gave me a horrible headache. Then the man throws at me that we have a banquet to go to tonight, 30 minutes after I get off work. Sure, I can make it, and if I leave work 15 minutes early, I can run home to change first too (the famous gold shoes with a hot pink dress? I'm thinking about it!) This is the dinner where they have the annual silent auction for the scholarship program, and all the big money donors come for it, so there's no telling if it'll be a long night or a LONG night. Last year we won a week in a condo in Hilton Head that we still haven't had a chance to use. Luckily the owner is one of the man's employees & said we can use it whenever except 4th of July week. We also got some more Tervis tumblers and a matching Tervis ice bucket that is still in the box, lol. The tumblers went to the man's mom in Denmark. So, no telling what we'll buy this year. I'm thinking that he needs a picture to hang in his office, but we'll see if anything strikes him.

Akweiland love those colours. QuilterMomma they are not too bright for me so if belfry does not like them you can send it to me
Went to the quilt shop today and pick up another piece for the back of my table runner. I had started quilting my runner when I notice a flaw in the backing So out came the seam ripper and off to the quilt shop i went Picked up some lovely fabric and also a new piece for the back of the runner.

Gabrielle is going to be dumping rain on us tomorrow so it will be a good day to sew.
