I actually have some flag fabric. I guess if I trimmed it in it, it would be an international runner/quilt!

I know how to make a 10 minute table runner and napkins to go with it. Beach and sea shells sound great or how about red and white checks with ants at a picnic?

I just dowloaded some free patterns from Craftsy.com that I could possible use. Its some intricate piecing but I think I can do it.

I am hoping all of you are going to use a bit of batting in your runner. It helps with hot things should they be placed on it so the tables are safe

Lynnie this is an easy relaxed swap. You can be as artistic, quilty as you like. You can so simple, you can go wild its all up to the creator. The only thing that you will need to wait for is what colors or things your partner likes. If they say I sure would love patriotic then your colors would go that direction and if they want beach things well that can go from sandels, crabs, fish, water.. to just the colors that remind you of the beach. I am hoping most of you can work something out with your partner that pleases them but doesnt have to send you to the store. I am all about raiding your stash I do most things with a bit of this and a bit of that. And it usually works.

So join on up! I think if your looking for ideas go to Anastasia's Table runner swap and start peeking about half way into the forum and you will see posts starting of finished runners.. and the variety was great. I believe it was a spring theme last time.. we are also doing a side swap there for Tropical runners and near the end of the forum are some very nice peeks at runners being made. This can give everyone a great idea of what is being traded table runner wise. lots of variety. I will post my latest creation there when the sun comes up today so I can photograph it in regular light. Parrots and hibiscus flowers and happy happy brights to go with it

ps I think a ten minute runner might take me an hour just a reference of how slow I am... like that turtle in the race.. I never finish fast but I do finish

If you had said Finnish or Swedish flag, I'm your girl!!!

But these would still be pretty...

I actually thought about making something quilty out of them, but I haven't decided what yet.

I sent my pm to join. I have two table runners pieced and they need homes so I can be motivated to finish them. Yep, still those wonderful UFOs. I can post photos and see who wants to be a taker of which one. Have to get home first. One is a pink/red, green, tan, and a brown/green/pink/tan color batik. All of them are batiks. It is a round table topper. I also have a double wedding ring runner in greens and purple/red/brownish color of print fabrics. Very pretty. It is set with a cream and green coordinating fabric for background. These would be available. This way I could work them in to be quilted in June or May if I get to needing to experiment with a quilt design. let me know. HAHAHAHAHAHA Or should that be Elisabrat.
