tlambing - awesome NY quilt!!

I'm getting ready to start my partner's quilt and plan to have it done by the end of the month. I'm moving the middle of November - so I want to get it done before I pack everything up.

Have a fun day everyone!

finished the top for nurse bonnie this afternoon but a bit too pooped to think of quilting at all. She informed me today her dinner table is.. 90" long. Wow. She also said she does not expect a runner that long but boy is that one long table! I am thinking I might be able to extend the length of my runner a bit by adding end piece on each side. one big end piece lol.

I have solved atpegsquiltstudio and her partner's problem! I finally called her partner and well I am telling you guys when I ask for your number there is a reason. This is is. Turns out her partner had read a note from her stating at pegsquiltstudios' daughter wanted the runner. She thought her partner was gifting it to her daughter and not being used to swaps thought well.. guess she doesn't want to swap. Then on the 18th at pegsquilt studio mailed her runner and was wondering why one was not sent to her.. pirates! so the runner is in the new home town but not yet delivered and the two of them are working it out. YAHOOOOO sometimes if your unsure over a communication its ok to go back, feel dumb and ask. Better than all this emotional confussion! I ask dumb questions all the time and at least half are not dumb at all!!!

I tried the other batting -- not Warm & Natural -- and don't think I like it much. It was inconsistent --thicker in places, flimsy in places. Maybe I got a bad piece. But now I know. I'm going to use W&N for my runners.

The only dumb question out there is the one never asked.

When my baby was little and she wanted to sleep over with her cousins the Aunts and Uncles would joke "Who will answer all Jackie's questions at our house." I always told my kids if you want to know something you have got to ask the question - my Jackie took it to heart and asked all sorts of questions. My favorite from when I was little and I still want to know " where does the butterfly go when it rains " it was the title of one of my favorite childhood books and the book never gave the answer.

Found a wonderful snowman sort of pattern over the weekend - see no; hear no; speak no.
contemplating what I should make for my partner.

Oh wow, DH just brought the mail in and handed me a package. Jaba had my name and she created this beautiful runner! Remember the array of fabrics she had me select from and so many of us had chose the green and gold, it's even more beautiful in person than in photo's. I love it (what's not to love) it is gorgeous in every way, thank you so much Jaba (Jan). She also sent along some snowflake post it notes that are so cute. Now I am proud to show you the 1st table topper of this swap, isn't it wonderful?

Cheesehead, so glad you like it!! I loved the combo when I saw it in the fabric shop, even had to make me one with that fabric. I think I just really liked the gold "sparkles"....

mom-6 it is Hoffman CA International, it's called Renaissance and has #G8575 on the salvage. Bought it in a quilt shop here.
