Is this one of those "don't count your chickens before they hatch" or "don't keep all your eggs in one basket" moments. Dang, you must have a huge huge basket to gather all those eggs. I truly hope you don't ever trip (like I would).

I've only stitched this out, I haven't had time to turn it into a true block but thought you might like to see it. The chicken tracks are actually a metallic thread. The cell camera doesn't really show it so I'm including a picture of the thread. In person it has a nice subtle glimmer.

I love MS Dotty and Bucket of Chicken. Lots of talented people here! Someone asked what machine I am using, it is a Janome 350E.

    I have a Brother SE-400.
I've had lots of fun with it since I got it a few months ago.

I love the bucket of chicken & funky chicken. Very cute! :D
I'm glad you all like Dotty, I've been working on the rest of the set with her. I'll post pictures when I'm done with all 6 of them.

    Applique question???

"If I use a fusible web to applique my pieces to the back ground fabric, can I just use a single straight stitch along the edges to finish it? :?:

Love the bucket of chicken and the "Funky Chicken"! I have a question for you...I have some of that same type of metallic thread...I was thinking that it would break if I tried to embroider with it...did you have to change your tension settings? Did you use a metallic needle? What bobbin thread? Oops...more than 1 question....

PatP...my DH just loves the fresh eggs, with that many, you probably wouldn't miss a few...can you toss some this way???:D: Thats a LOTTA eggs!!

Ms Grace...yes, you can use just a singel SS to sew it down.

Oh my gosh, all those creative juices are flowing...I love everything, including eggs! (gathering 25,000 a day -is that sort of like working in a candy store ?)

Thanks! I was wondering if you had to do a satin stitch or if a single stitch would be ok in the wash.
    :-)
