Here is my "eggbert" from Sindy Rodenmayer (2006)

I am thinking of outlining him with fabric paint. What do you think?

I also need to change the beak and feet colors - not enough contrast, and will add something else to the eye.
It is just ironed on the background right now.

    Eggbert is adorable!

Tiny, I think your ideas ROCK! Too funny!

I love the chicken in sneakers idea...that would be just too cute!

Eggbert is cute! Remember that you need to sew the pieces down to the fabric in some way. I wouldn't use fabric paint, but that's just my own opinion...you can get the contrast with thread as you applique him???

Sapdoggie, I love Eggbert. Fabric paint or couching ribbon with sparklies could really make him/her pop. Lots of possibilities.

I woke up this morning with several 'ideas' in my mind... of funky chickens, of course. Need to see if I can remember them all and play with them today. I think President's Day will be chicken play day.

See y'all later... I am going to play...

sapdoggie-I'd vote for something other than fabric paint. JMHO.

**We are getting more and more really cute blocks! Whoo Hoo!
    Keep it up!!

I think Mariposa has one tough job ahead of her. I have been trying to imagine what it would be like to have ONLY six blocks of any one funky chicken and have sewww many who want one of each block... oh, Mariposa, oh, you have one tough job! :-D :-D :-D
