I like the idea of using a felt underskirt too. The designs would be much more stable after the design was stitched out. Although, I don't think that is what you were talking about. LOL ...

The small FSL Angels that I have made have a hanging loop for a Tree decoration.

I made these mini felt ornaments a few years ago for a very small tree I put in our entrance hall. I reduced the patterns of tree sized ornaments to make them a mini size. Also, I made these cute ornaments for my daughters family a little while ago, they are machine embroidered designs appliqued onto felt. I backed them with a piece of felt, but out around the shape and hand backed stitched them together and filing them with fibrefill. Any appliqued design could be made into a Christmas ornament this way, hand or machine appliqued.

Betty, your ornaments are so cute and special. your family will love them for years. I love the ninja. cute idea. But then again, all your ornaments a spectacular. you just make the cutest things, and pay close attention to details.

I reduced the original pattern and I used a very old porcelain Angel head that is recycled from a 1950's Christmas decoration. I have made the full sized pattern as well. the pattern is from : http://krazykreations.com.au/shop/index.php?cPath=23

To my surprise that particular pattern is no longer there.

Thank you to those who have answered questions in my absence. We had a family emergency and death in the family and I was out of town. My husband took his laptop with him, but the hard drive went out on it. Guess the universe was trying to tell us to focus on the issues at hand. But I am now back and if your questions have not been answered please let me know. I will also be sending out a new updated list of everyone who has signed up tonight or tomorrow.

So sorry for the loss Anoka. Glad you made it back safe and sound.

On the angel ornaments, the red felt also has embroidery on it underneath the lace. Just so you know. As I stated, I just found a photo of what they looked like. The wooden laundry clothes pins for the base of the angel are cute, but I opted for the felt embroidery designs underneath. They are fun to do. I may have to make some of them again this year to put on my packages. We will see what I have for time. Having foot surgery in November, so there goes the last minute Christmas gifts.
