I just came back from the quilt show in Madison, WI. If anyone is near here next year GO! Huge amount of quilts and vendors. We only walked through and scanned and it still took us 4.5 hours!!

The bad thing is I didn’t find any white solid fabrics that didn’t have the edges pinked. Not crazy about those. So off to the fabric store next week

I have started my 9p. Can anyone give a hint on how to keep the fabrics so you don't repeat any in the same baggy? I'm sure this is going to be a challenge for me.

I made 40 today. What I did was sew strips, and once I had 10 of one fabric I ‘retired’ it into the ‘done’ pile. I am making 10 blocks of a kind, and when I have my 100 made I will redistribute them into 10 bags or sets. I lay out 10 bags on the table, and taking the first group of 10 of a kind, I pass them out, one on each bag. Then I do the same with the next 10 of a kind... until I have my 10 piles on 10 bags, with 10 different blocks to go into each bag.

Red, that sounds like a huge quilt show. Glad you got to go. I’m going to the Fall show in Paducah next week and can’t wait!

Just finished packing mine up. Glad I did them ahead of time, because craft fair preparations are getting hectic. My first one is September 22. Yikes! It's one I've never done before, and it's in a rather out-of-the-way, rural location. I'm not sure what the turnout will be like. Hope it's not a total flop. At least it's a beautiful drive over Lookout Mountain.

Is it too soon to mail?

Good luck on the craft fair, Moon. Hope it’s full of buyers and not just lookers.

Regarding mailing: Yes, it’s too soon. I’m not ready to start receiving packages just yet. Some time after signups close I will pm my address to everyone in the swap. If you already have my address from a previous swap, please hold off mailing until you get that pm. Thanks!

I managed to get 4 sets done yesterday! It was quick and fun with strip sets. I’m on my phone right now, but will post a pic when I get back to my laptop.

Wow libster, you’re whipping those out!! Way to go girl!!

I made 1 set yesterday. It’s a start. As far as no duplicates: I have cut my scraps into 2.5” squres and stack them in a box. I’ve cut my white into 2.5” sqaures also. As I make a set, I just thumb through my little squares and pull out 50 (It’s easy not to get the duplicates, because I take one and pass the others to a new pile. I’m sure it takes longer to use squares, but, I cut down my scrapes into 2.5” squares as I finish projects.

Pretty blocks, D.Henson. Love those fabrics, 'specially that blue up on the top row with the different color dots.
My great-granddaughter's last name is Hinson and I misspell yours every single time I type it. I plead old age and I'm sticking to it! LOL

Beautiful 9 patches ladies! I just packed up my 10 sets and they will be leaving with me tomorrow as we are Alabama bound. We should arrive there on Tuesday mid-late afternoon.

On one of the threads here on QB, SBG mentioned she was going to Paducah for the fall quilt show, uh oh...I didn't have a clue that it was this week! Sure enough, called to book our room where we stay in Paducah and there are no rooms at the inn! We found another hotel about 2 hours away and that will work just fine. We will just have a longer travel time the first day.
