OMG I completely forgot about Sugar Snaps!
Crispy, if I ever meet you in person I'm calling you that in public. ROFL
Sugar snaps. tehehehehe! Too cute!
Okay, my person is a woman of few words (at least on her profile list). She likes holidays. And had me as a "in 100%" as a friend when the question was: Snacks? And instead of saying what she liked, she just answered "yes".
My kinda gal!
Shopping over the next few days. In -11 degrees no less. I should get brownie points for that on my wings in heaven for sure!! LOL

Belfry, I don't think that is a bad gift at all. Small and mighty I say!
I was really really busy for one of my months and ended up putting things together at the last moment. I wish I had thought of doing that. Or even spending a little more and doing a subscription to a quilt magazine. With the savings on postage, it would have come out nearly even.
I might jump on your band wagon some month with the card.

I've ordered my SP's most wanted. Will put the rest of the package together in the next few days. I've had her before but not for a long time. And thankfully she filled out the Q very nicely so I have lots to choose from.
I do so enjoy these swaps but with postage continuing to rise, I'm going to go to every other month, or start sending gift cards along with a small package I can mail first class. I know a gift card isn't as much fun to "open" but I'd rather spend extra on that rather than $7.50 on postage for Priority.

When I looked into the SP archives I saw that there was a letter dated June 27, 1978 and the cost of the package to send was $1.85. And you have to realize that the boxes were much bigger back then. They were complaining back then that the cost of fabric was about the cost of the hourly wage. I guess things haven't changed much.
I like the idea of a gift card, too, but, then this would end up being the monthly gift card swap! LOL
With postage as high as it is, there still are 21 participants this month so hopefully we still have some momentum!

Ok ladies,
IF your secret pal lived close enough to you and could personally / hand deliver your Feb package would you 'welcome' that kind of a surprise?
(1) if yes, would you want it to be a total surprise
(2) would you want to know she was coming?
Let's see what EVERYone thinks / feels about this okay???? (Sure hope my SS responds)! lol
BTW: Barb, if you'll notice where I'm from.......I won't be hand delivering yours......sorry.

Well....I'm not so sure I'd want someone I didn't know showing up at my door. I like my house super neat and tidy the first time someone meets me, and a surprise would not allow me to do that. (of course the second time you would visit would probably be a shock since the house would look more like my 'norm').
Now, if it were a scheduled meeting where we'd all be meeting to exchange that would be a different story.
Does that help, LaQuita?
