I would agree that it would still just be amongst the members of this swap. Would simply be a more streamlined method. I've seen it done on other forums.

The blocks were intended for this swap to begin with. We should help her finish this swap if we can.

letsquilts... I am sending you a pm.

Kensington, can I have a cup of your coffee please? I need the lets be patient coffee! I like the idea of side swapping right here! I think when I answered her question I was still asleep and thinking of trading in general! But I can swap, and if someone wanted one of my blocks and did not get it I can make them one, to trade... But I am so excited about this Swap, I think it is going to make the best quilt ever!

Well, I was thinking and I know our fearless leader would have to decide, but perhaps she could tell us what letsquilt's blocks need and we can sign up here for her to go ahead and swap them with us now, and we can add it when it gets to us, I would not mind doing that. If its a border or something.

I think there is 8 of them, she would have shipped 10, but 2 go back. Rhonda has them. Something about them didn't fit specs so she will send them back to letsquilts and she will fix them and swap on the side.

I suggest Rhonda let us see them and if enough wanted, she could go ahead and swap them in our packages and we could fix them ourselves... it's a win win.

But, I don't want to complicate things for Rhonda, if she returns them to letsquilt, I am on the list for one of each.

I was up at 4:30 this morning to get ready for swapping...was at the place and starting before 7:30am. The more than 130 block sets from 27 of us swappers took up every table and nook and cranny and it was kind of intense for a bit...my knee injury...but with pacing myself and drugs, and a bit of lunch brought in by DH to refresh us, it was accomplished! Thanks to Mariposa for helping me with some of the swapping. Much appreciated! I still have to get everything ready to mail, and I will begin doing that on Monday. It will take me a couple of days to get everything labeled and such, but the blocks will all be heading home before I head out of town for Thanksgiving. I think I'm going to go lie down for a bit.

Exciting! It will feel like Christmas when they come in. Plus I'll receive blocks from another swap around the same time -- completely different theme.
Thank you, RW for doing this for us.

RW - We really appreciate all of your wonderful efforts in coordinating the fun Winter Holiday Swap Block! Christmas is coming early to everyone this year!!! All of your "kids are excited with anticipation" . . . Thank you, thank you, thank you - now go and relax with that glass of wine like Pink Lady lovingly suggested ;-)

Pouters will be sent to the "be nice" corner! LOL! How's about thanking Mariposa for helping me so I didn't have to be there 4 more hours and get my DH to help? Ya'all wouldn't have wanted that! Ha ha ha! Oh how fun would it be to have all of us together swapping our blocks out??? Problem is, I'm thinking we'd never have swapped them out with chatting and such! Can you visualize my DH bringing in lunch for 27 of us girls? You guys are so funny!

    Ok Ok...Thank you Mariposa!

The 2 of you really are the best. You plan, you encourage, you chear and then you swap! I don't know how you let them all go.

    Thanks again.

My target date for mailing is Tuesday. I've been going through the packages and have had to make some changes, but things are going nicely...just pacing myself now...next couple of days should see these pretty little blocks (well some are little, some are big and some are in between) winging their way to your homes for the holidays! You guys are awesome! I did manage to put some extra little goodies in everyone's packages...after all..."It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"...LOL! DH's downstairs watching Christmas movies, getting me in the mood for the holidays...

Thank you thank you thank you... Doing the happy dance, knowing that I am going to be working on my most wonderful quilt for Christmas!

Thanks to Mariposa too, how fun that you two live close enough together to do that! And I am super jealous that you both live in Washington where I wish I lived, near my Daughter and Granddaughter!

Someday! But oh how exciting to know our beautiful blocks are heading our way!
