I like the second layout better, but put the fourth white star in the corner too. I would try the darker blocks on the long sides and the lighter ones on the short sides and see if there is a loner for the middle. I am afraid I prefer my tops "balanced". Love the colours.

What if you alternater blocks 1 and 3 on either side of the first picture? What would that look like. (I' m crazy about the second one. Only my opinion.) Good Luck!

I like the first one because it looks planned and very symmetrical. The second one looks too busy for me. It's pretty, just busy. I don't know if a border would tone it down or not.

I do think the blocks are beautiful? Do you have the name of the pattern?

#2 is not bad, BUT I think you need to take the wht star block from the middle and flip it with the block in the lower rt corner. I think your color will flow better & balance will be achieved!

No I don't have the name of it. The quilt store where this came from was doing 3 blocks 1 per week and as far as I know there is no name. I just checked the paperwork they gave and no name. Sorry I can't help you with that. On the paperwork, it just tells us how to cut and put the blocks together, then it tells us how to lay it out. The 2nd pic is the way the store is saying to lay it out and I just don't like it. I am going to play with the arrangement some and see what I can come up with. Will post more pics soon.

I would switch the top left and bottom right block on the 2nd pic. See how that looks.

I say move the bottom block on the right to the middle and the middle to the outside right, but i do like the second layout better if you do that
