    Kittygram,
I think because both the cross and the Easter Lily represent Easter and the Lily being the most recognized flower for Easter, that is probably why it is titled Easter Lily.

wildyard, I'm LOL with you.....I'm so far behind and would like to do some 'adjustments' myself; however, that would set me behind even further. We'll get it done eventually!

I am caught up - but decided to create my own April. I wanted the finished project to be festive, since so many holidays are related to the months. No, I'm not pagan, or anti-cross. But the lily that was published was so plain. I had lots of Easter scraps and made this egg. If I were to do it again, I'd make the egg smaller, like in the January block, and make more triangle corners. But I like the way it looks.

    Four months so far

OK...I like this better than the Cross/Lily. Do you mind if I use your idea?

Ideas are free. You are certainly welcome!
Maybe some of you will notice that I made an error. There are only 7 eggs, supposed to be 8. I wondered why it looked stretched. Picking things out keeps me humble.

Good for you. I didn't much care for this months block either.
    I'm having fun following along.

I,m hoping to get going tomorrow, but I,m thinking about doing just one block each and doing a small wall hanging. But I do like your egg better than the lily. What do you all think about the wall hanging?

I am making an extra block of each to make a wall hanging also. It's easier to do one now than re-create it later.

Happy Easter everyone..Just back from New Jersey - had a nice weekend away - but tired and seems to have caught the flu.....I hope I feel better this week to work on my April row...
I think that changing the block style to suit your personal likes is perfectly fine and certainly adds a whole new dimension to the whole project...certainly making it an original....
I personally like the lily so I will do that one....I picked up a couple of fat quarters this weekend since I was missing a good green and yellow..but found them at Joanns.
    Best wishes to everyone!

I like it so far but perhaps IŽll make something else.
As to Apr. block I see a freshly open white flower from above.
I think the flower is a concept as well as the pale colors . I felt the same regarding the shamrock - which I modified because it seemed too bold to me.
    Just my two cents.

Will upload under "pictures" the blocks IŽve made from another online free BOM.

Ligia, I love your shamrocks, and I agree, I think that the April block not only represents a Cross but also the Lily. I had not noticed before, but from looking above, the block does appear to be a flower opening up.

Great to have you back Bill! What part of New Jersey did you visit? I grew up in the North Bergen County region, Ridgewood was the town. I hope your cold or flu goes away quickly!
