Beautiful quilt! I sympathize with you regarding your brothers, but with me it will be my sons getting rid of my treasures.

What a beautiful quilt. Enjoy it for as long as you can. Admire and pet to your heart's content.

I feel your pain, but, I would suggest moving your sewing area to a spot where you can access it. As we get older, we have fewer folks come to visit, so I am not bothered by keeping everything looking a museum. I just want to be able go see and sew.

I agree, beautiful fabric. It looks so gorgeous sewn up and on your bed. Truly, a quilt to treasure!

I think your cherished fabric looks great in that quilt! It is a beautiful quilt and I love how you have a lot of negative space to do some beautiful quilting in.

A beautiful quilt and a story many of us can empathize with...I am 76 and have many yards of fabric I must get sewn up!

Do not allow your brothers to dispose of your quilts/quilting fabrics as they wish. Write it into your will that the quilts are to go to a charitable organization or to your guild for them to distribute. Find someone you can trust to be the executor of your will. I have been very clear with my family about what to do with my fabrics and tools.

Beautiful and so much better that the fabric has been used and loved instead of just sitting on a shelf.
