Beautiful quilt, she is going to cherish it! I go with purple because I think the ties shouldn't be a focal point they should fade and let the pictures stand out as others have said.

Great quilt and the pictures will be like her visiting with you and the visit will seem to last longer.

That is a grat gift to lift her spirts. We made a memory quilt for our then 4 year old granddaughter who was in the hospital 4 hrs. Away for a liver transplant. We put all her aunts, uncles, grandmas and pas, mommy daddy, brother, BFF, her pets and anything else we could think of so she always had her family wrapping their arms of love around her while she recovered and came home. It is a beautiful gift of love to your friend and she'll cherish it forever!

What a neat quilt for your best friend, I am sure that she will treasure it for the rest of her life, in my opion I would tie it with the blue green yarn. It will look great with what ever you decide to do. I would love to get a quilt like that from my friend.

It is very nice. I think the turquoise/teal would be best, too. How did you do your picture copying. They turned out to be pretty good, and I am looking for a good process to do good pictures.

What a wonderful & "very special" gift. I, too, have a best friend who lives 9 hrs. away & when things happen it is so hard to not go running but sometimes it is impossible but you have certainly come up with a wonderful alternative, which I am sure she will cherish.
