The Truly Ugliest Quilt Top
#54
You should definately save it as it will be a reminder of how far you've come! I would make it into a pillow or square it up and finish it and tuck it away in a keepsake box. We all have these starter projects and we all had to start the learning process somewhere. It is something to learn from and inprove upon. Keep at it and you will make one that you truly love!

Took me two days to make this ugliness! Is there anything I can do to save it or should I just take it apart and use the squares in something different like pillows for kids or something like that?

If you really don't like it, then throw it out.
I hold on to things forever thinking that I will get back to it and "fix" it. Sometimes it's better to bite the bullet and throw it out and get it out of your head. I would have to throw coffee grinds or something on it right away, or I'd bring it back in the house. Sad but true.

You don't have to finish everything you do in a class. You learned the technique that you took the class for, and I expect you learned how to do it correctly, so I'd put the project away for the time being and move on. You may come back to it later and like it better, but if not, it appears you don't have too much fabric invested in it, so no big loss. Better than trying to finish something you don't like and are not pleased with. I'm a big fan of "cut your losses and move on!"
