Thanks, oksewglad. Message sent.

I got a BIG box in the mail today with my purchase from CT. I have to tell you all that I do not regret my fall from the wagon ONE BIT. The kaleidoscope fabric is just yummy. Even have an idea what I might do with it.

I checked out the self mitered Log cabin...looks like a great stash buster...Will help offset that CT package..there's a balance in life...fabric in...fabric out...

I was naughty today and purchased fabric for a new project. It's hard to resist, since getting a part time job at a quilt shop. I needed this fabric for the last QB color & design challenge. The challenge includes using "historic" fabrics". Not a crumb of those in my stash. I only bought enough for a donation size quilt ( 40 x 60 ).

I think you get a pass on that. If you truly shopped your stash and couldn't make do, and then you only got the minimum you need for the project you have planned (not just dreamed of doing "someday"), you showed great restraint. Not to mention the restraint it takes to work in a quilt shop and stay on the wagon!!!

congrats on your self control.

I on the other hand got bumped off the wagon by a friend. It's all her fault and that's my story lol. She invited me to a quilt show out of town and we took the bus tour. It was fantastic but I spent my entire budget and can't wait to go to another one.

The entire budget was not spent on fabric. I got some angelina for my victorian crazy quilt, two knotted silk fq for the same project, 2 fancy wire hangers for the wreath panel I already have, bee's wax, and then I saw it, The lorelei booth. I've been looking for this fabric but didn't know what it was. I got one piece with the christmas theme and one called the tea ladies. I love them both and already have them up on my inspiration wall. Now I have a plan for next christmas' quilt. That is the year after this one, not this one.

I also bought a table loom because I've always wanted to try it. An impulse buy i admit but I was happy working away at it this morning.

Went on a 1400 mile road trip and not once asked to go see a quilt shop! Then DH asked if I wanted to stop at one when we were almost home it was next to the coffee shop he wanted to swing into. I said yes but only picked up three fat quarters for a future project. I am collecting small pieces of berries and veggies for a jar quilt. I have none in my stash and none of my local fellow quilting friends have any to trade for. Oddly I was barely even tempted even though they had some fantastic fabric. I think this thread and some accountability is good for me lol.

Altairss - way to stay strong. I know I would have been tempted to find a quilt store with that kind of trip.
tk - it sounds like you had such fun at the quilt show and you at least stayed on budget. Plus the fabric you did get you already have a purpose for (well maybe some of it lol).
plays with color - I agree - that while you might feel naughty - you actually shopped your stash first so it's a win.
My last fall finally came in (or part of it). They were all back ordered and while the fat quarters do go in my stash - I did pick colors I have less of. I got one that was orange, pink, red and purple. I figured ordering a bundle of different fabrics would give me prints I wouldn't normally choose and it did. Trying to broaden my quilting a bit.
While not fabric, I also signed up for Craftsy free access to ALL classes this month. Saw it on the links and resources here. So excited I couldn't make my fingers fly fast enough in relationship to my excitement. Have taken a few classes with them and have learned a lot. So will be busy with that this month. So many classes so little time!

Good news! My sewing machine fix only cost $15 over the regular cleaning/tuneup. It was just a belt. To celebrate I decided not to cook & pick up Thai food. Which is next to a quilt shop... Well, you know the rest.

Ellie, I hope you enjoy your free classes from Crafty. I was wondering if that was a one day only thing to sign up for or is the classes still offered?

I came back back from my scheduled bus trip. I spent money, but only spent 1/3 the normal amount. It helped I didn't spend
