I think I'll have go ahead and buy the fabric for grandson's quilt this weekend. The annual craft show I like to attend is this weekend and I need buy dog food anyway, so if I head down to the craft show early, I can cross the bridge when I'm finished there and head to a store that has quilt shop quality fabric, but at discounted prices. Down to $2.99 or $3.99/yd. I should be able to find what I need and DD thinks is bright enough for a 4 year-old. Since it's already been over a year since I bought any quilting fabric, I think it's time I broke down and bought some

I've already made a couple of quilt tops from my stash. One full quilt that I gave to my niece, so what the heck. I need to make a lot more, but I do want to make this quilt for one of grandson's Christmas gifts or maybe an early one, so it's time to get the fabric.

When you start the post with "I'll HAVE to buy ....fabric" I'd say that you do not really have a problem. Great job staying on the wagon, Gram. I bet your DGS will love his quilt (and his gram).

Wow that is great prices and if you have to break your fast that is a good way to do it. Yesterday and today I pulled fabric from stash and made a baby quilt top and a Christmas stocking. The stocking was made mostly with left over strips so it was even better of a use what you got.

Well, I did stop at the Quilting Cupboard in Atascadero and shopped. Got a few gifts and fat quarters for me. Tomorrow I plan to go to Quilting Cousins in town. They don't have a huge selection but I do want to help the economy.

Went crazy at the christmas fabric sale. I have no excuse. I'll have to throw myself on the mercy of the quilters. I just couldn't resist. I did use some stash for the pets challenge that my club is putting on if that helps?

I bought fabric. But it's for a project and I only bought what I need for the project!! And I was in a store with a 30 to 50% off sale!!! I'm telling you, you move that much fabric half a dozen times and you'll have a whole new outlook on your stash!!

Yes yes helping the economy that's the ticket! I have been moving and reorganizing fabric again and boy that really does change your outlook on buying more. I just finished a big baby quilt using just stash as well as Two Christmas stockings and I am working out a table runner. But I did find two more UFO's that I don't even remember making. What the hey are they breeding in corners?

I had to dig deep into my stash to finish these... Used 1" scraps on the the bright red and green and 3/4" ones on the log cabin...had to cut into larger pieces for the borders....

Ok - those are so nice! Love your log cabin

While I haven't posted in awhile, I have read yours. It's hard to resist the sales. I think black Friday came early to some stores.
I weakened and bought 5 remnants of batiks when there was a sale upon a sale. Have no purpose for them but it was too hard to resist. Other than that trying to stay strong. Have ordered red fabric on line for my son's bargello but red is hard to pick with some photos so it looks like I will need a road trip to a quilt store to find what I'm looking for. Some days I really miss having a LQS.
