Okay - I need a hand up... A fellow quilter on this board knew I was looking for a specific fabric line (Zodiac signs). She e-mailed me about some she found and we worked a deal. She's mailing me 10 yards in all, 2 yards each of 5 fabrics. Total bill including shipping was $32.00. Whoo-who! My original purchase at the LQS was about $10 a yard. All this fabric is planned for projects "in the not too distant future"... and I have 3 others in the works right now. Yep, I spent money without even going into the store or looking at the fabric. LOL! Help!!

I'm in. 2017 is the year I will finish ALL of my UFO's and work on projects I have both patterns and fabric. Other than backings, I should not have to buy any fabric.

All2pieces, I'll offer you a hand up, and pat you on the back with the other one! We love a bargain, and it does sound like you have plans for the fabric, as opposed to OH! LOOK! PRETTY! BUY!

PaperPrincess - yes, I do have plans and I can't wait to see it. The fabric is a great deal and she is a sweetheart for helping me. I've just got to work on finishing a few projects that are started (and promised! ) before I start playing with the newest pretty. As I sit at my table I can see a set of curtains, an anniversary quilt top, and the 3 friendship swaps I'm involved in. And that doesn't count the Bonnie Hunter that is at the flimsy stage spred over the couch. Oh! and my blue and brown coffecup quilt for myself. ROFL !! Oops - sorry! That sounds more like a post for the UFO board than the fabric moratorium board! Ha Ha Ha!

Me too!
Congrats on the great deal all2pieces and glad you found the pieces you wanted. I - like you - bought some flannel at Joann's though it's not for quilting but lining for a shirt for DH. Glad this doesn't count as it has a purpose. Got to save those falls for the truly worthy fabrics lol!
I've had a close one last week as I put fabric in the cart then went to my stash to look and pet it. Seemed to help avert a fall. That and remembering the time I bought the exact same fabric I already had (which started me here to begin with). At least my falls are more mindful which is a huge improvement since I really embraced the fabric stash when I started quilting.
