Yay! I did it. I managed to piece together two fabrics to make a back for the quilt I am working on. So we are at the end of January and I have not purchased any fabric. So far, so good.

Everyone is doing very well. It's so good to shop and use our stash! So far so good.

I am in again for 2017. Finished four tops, one backing so three more to go. Going to piece a large pattern backing using a technique I watched on a Craftsy class (was a freebie). Will post that when done. The other two quilts are small lap quilts so won't take long but will take about 2 yds of stash. I did purchase a MSQC gift card for myself when they had a 20% offer and did use a bit of that recently on a jelly roll that is for the Farm Vintage Girl Blocks. I have kept an ongoing visual list in my sewing room of projects. Next to the projects I have noted where I have these projects located (anyone ever lost a project?) and what additional needs there are to start or finish them (like binding, whites, more string blocks, etc). This has helped keep me on track to work through my stash.

I ditched the little convergence quiltlet last night and it is crooked as can be. BUT I'll finish it anyway. Planning to do some feathers over the top and put on a flanged binding. Sometimes those "odd" projects offer the opportunity to test drive some new techniques.

Love your little fund-raisers, OKSewGlad!! They are just adorable!!

I did really good in January!! I did not buy any fabric OR thread!! I have started the heart-wrenching process of unsubscribing to all the fabric temptations. If I don't know about a sale, I won't be tempted, right?

I am going to try to be a "good girl" Feb 10-11, when I go to Foust Textiles for their "open-to-the-public" sale. I'm hoping to get a bargain on a roll of batting, and if I do buy any fabric, it's going to be wide backing.

I also quit going to the "shopgoodwill.com" site (the vintage toy sewing machines kept calling my name!!)
So, I think I did VERY GOOD this month. It's a start, anyway!

Good going, Leta! unsubbing from fabric temptations is a big step, I keep telling myself I should do that too...

Martina- a convergence quilt is the next on my list to start after I finish this month's UFO, looking forward to seeing yours.

Good going, everyone! Think of all the money we've saved, as well as the clutter and UFOs we've prevented. Good job!

Now that's making lemonade outta lemons...WTG

A hand please...and not applause...I had my tax appointment in another town today....even my CPA knows I stop at the LQS there...toooooo scary.....my compensation for getting that job done is to take advantage of her 1.75 fq bargain...11 of them followed me home!; that's another 2.75 yards in the stash...really G., did you have to?

Smart, Leta. I haven't unsubscribed yet, but I stopped even opening the emails a while back. It is easier if you don't even know what is on sale.

oksewglad, that is a good deal on fqs! I think there was some allowance for sales.
