I saw this pattern in the Fall issue of Quilts and More. I made it with the orange arrows as in the pattern because we have an orange bedroom and I plan on hanging this above our bed. I call this quilt "Which Way?" Forgot to mention that I only used fabric from my stash. Mostly small pieces.

Nice, Sophie2! Just goes to show how great our fabrics are in our fabrics at home!

I really like that Sophie2– Fantastic that you were able to do it from stash scraps! I love lots of color, but quilts like this one make me want to explore more use of neutrals with a single pop of color- the contrast is striking and very beautiful.

Sophie, I like your quilt. Very modern and I like the orange arrows added. Very nice.

Well I’m ready for BHMQ which starts 24th. I pull all my fabric from my stash. I’m curious how it will turn out. Here’s a pic of my colors. I have white on white for the background fabric. I plan to make a king size quilt. I plan to use the brown as a final border, if I have enough fabric left. Just have to wash and iron fabric. I have a week to do that.

I'm trucking along with no fabric purchases this month. I will go and buy some thread at JoAnns tomorrow as they have a 40% off sale plus an additional 20% off the entire purchase. I'm low on some colours I use often.

Sophie, love those colors. Here's my punkin quilt WIP. it's from the Sept-Oct '17 issue of QuiltMaker. Happy lab, it's also a BH pattern. Love your fabric selections! I always copy her weekly instructions for her mystery quilt, but have never actually made one! This is what I did with all that orange fabric I purchased a couple months ago.

I love the pumpkin quilt. Offsetting the pumpkins makes them dance. Just curious what size the pumpkins ended up being?

Well, heck! I went to JoAnns to buy some thread and ended up walking out with three yards of fabric. Two pieces will be used to make blocks for a swap I'm in, so I don't really count that a falling off the wagon. But the blue and silver metallic winter/ Christmas fabric? Well, at least it was only 1-1/2 yards and will harmonize well with the Connecting threads holiday fabric I purchased a month ago. At least that is my story and I'm sticking to it!

Hi Belfry, The orange part finishes 4X6, the stem adds 2", so the whole block is 6X6 with 2" offset strips. I should have mentioned that this is a WIP, there are 4 additional borders, 2 of them pieced with lots of little pieces. The pattern wanted the pumpkins foundation pieced, but in my 'I don't need to follow no stinkin' pattern' technique, I just made a bunch of strip sets. The upside of using a foundation is that you cut 49 foundations and have the exact number you need for your quilt. Using my technique, I just started piecing was having a wonderful time and wound up with over 100, so I have enough for another quilt but then I saw this post and may just make a bunch of table topper gifts!
Do You Recognize This Pattern
Everything is going to have to wait until after my Thanksgiving/Holiday Party/Christmas/Wedding season, so basically January.
